The management team

Our team has strength and depth in business, finance, IP rights and people management. They are also passionate and knowledgeable about games.



Timm has a collaborative management style engaging everyone at Spil Games in the business of maximising the commercial potential of our products.

Timm established a management team with Jacqueline Wièrdak and Mathijs Seegers and together they have responsibility for the different areas within the business. The company’s mobile, portal, advertising, and globalization teams report directly to Timm.

He already had two years as COO at Spil before taking over as CEO in May 2018. He reports directly to the Spil Games board.

He is highly experienced in gaming and the media having worked in senior positions for companies including ProSiebenSat.1, Splitscreen Studios, Bigpoint and AOL.

He holds a law degree from the University of Kiel and an executive MBA from the Hamburg Media School.



Jacqueline has long experience as an executive in the gaming industry having been at Spil Games for eight years.

She is a key part of the management team, overseeing legal, human resources, recruitment and corporate communications. She also acts as the company’s corporate secretary and general counsel.

She advises on IP rights, privacy, corporate governance and the complex laws that apply to games in the countries around the world. This experience is proving vital in her current role on the management team.

Before Spil Games, she was an attorney for more than ten years, as well as a senior policy adviser at the Dutch Data Protection Authority. She holds a law degree from the University of Leiden and has a postgraduate qualification in IT law from Grotius Academy.



As part of the management team, Mathijs leads Spil Games’ finance, business intelligence, marketing and technology departments. He is also responsible for support functions including corporate development, facilities and office IT.

His role is to ensure the smooth running of the planning and data functions that support Spil Games products.

Mathijs has an extensive background in financial control, business analysis and business control having worked previously at ABN Amro and Deutsche Bank.

He has a master in political science and an executive master in finance and control from the University of Amsterdam.



Patrik takes the lead in defining and executing our mobile F2P strategy, driving commercial growth in this important sector. He leads the game design, product management, production, project management and live ops teams.

He has more than 10 years’ experience in the gaming industry including 7 working in the Chinese market. Patrik has built his expertise at a variety of companies including Goodgame Studios (acquired by Stillfront), 6waves, and ShouJi Mobile (acquired by Tencent).

He also founded Game Industry Networking, a platform for gaming professionals to share news and ideas.



Juuso is responsible for advertising and leads a team that delivers over 4 billion ad impressions every month.

It is one of the most technologically advanced teams in the world, operating more than 40 domains and mobile apps with a programmatic-first approach.

He’s also a valued member of the IAB Netherlands Mobile Advertising Task Force.

Juuso has previously held roles at Nokia and Comptel.



Kara brings together skill in analysing game data with expertise in front-end web development to ensure her team gives players and advertisers on our portals the ultimate experience.

She has risen within Spil Games to head the portal team and so understands the complexity of creating interfaces which engage users while operating on multiple devices in a global market.

She started out as a front-end web developer working to exacting standards in HTML and CSS.
